François (Daniel Auteuil) is an accountant at a condom factory. However, he discovers that is going to be fired by management. The solution to avoid the dismissing comes from his neighbor Belone, who advises him to pretend to be gay to sue the company if it tries to fire him, alleging discrimination at work. This will mark the beginning of a whole series of misunderstandings and setbacksfor the poor François.
