El secreto de sus ojos - The secret in their eyes

Hi guys! This is my first post and I hope you like it!

This film is based on the story "La pregunta de sus ojos" by Eduardo Sacheri. The argentinian director, Juan José Campanella, is very famous because of his works: he has directed two episodes of House MD an produced lots of interesting programs for the national channel in his country.
As you may know, the movie is so famous due to the Oscar to the Best Foreign Language Film that won in 2010, after the great success in 2009, when it reached 2 million spectators, being one of the most viewed movies in the history of Argentina. Moreover, it won prizes in more than 10 film festivals, nationals and also internationals.

Plot:
Benjamin Esposito (Ricardo Darín) has just retired after a lifetime of working as a clerk in a criminal court. To occupy his free time he decides to write a novel based on a true story of what has been a witness and protagonist, the story of a murder in Buenos Airen in 1974, and research to find the culprit.
Argentina is with its burden of violence and death, marked the lives of the characters, and although Esposito suppose that weaves the story speaks only of the past, the searchlight in a gritty his life and his present , and you face a dilemma of love haunts him for too long.
Reconstructing the past will lead him to delve into their feelings, their own behaviors and decisions, and eventually become not literary exercise, but the key that lets you open the door to live the rest of his life.

I'll put the trailer for you! (with english subtitles)

Well, that's all.. I'll be posting as soon as possible..

Bye!

  10. There was so much hype around this movie that when I actually got to watch it I was sorely disappointed. It's not bad, but it's not the best either. The scene at the stadium is amazingly done, though.
I'd much rather watch 9 Queens again, instead of this one.
